During the program students will alternate theoretical lessons calibrated according to the course of study from which they proceed, in depth on traditional and / or digital representation techniques, to practical applications of the most contemporary styles in the international design landscape.
Build in the built, the relationship with the existing, the concept of restoration in history, but above all contemporaneity will be the core themes of the course, which are decoded and adapted according to the level of knowledge of the student. The approach to the project is the son of a long tradition of designers ranging from Leon Battista Alberti to the radical avant-garde of the ‘70s (where Florence was the compass of the world’s interior design) and represents a resource that can be applied to any international context: a first-aid training course or a specialization for the experienced student.

A designer must be able to deal with a theme regardless of it scale, it can be a city, a home or an object. The course aims to provide the students with methodological strategies to address a project from its theoretical incipit until its technical matrix creation. In addition the tools for artistic representation of the project will be provide, from manual to digital drawing in two and three dimensions. The course is divided into frontal lessons designed to provide inputs and references useful to the preliminary design phase and lab activities, which will handle most of the hours available to develop the idea. Students will be able to choose based on their own training and personal research, among the different topics of study proposed.
